20 clients and $5,000+/mo recurring: Jonathan Nussbaumer's TaskBlink comeback

Marketing · Nuon Marketing · Recorded interview, July 2026

The result first: Jonathan Nussbaumer runs Nuon Marketing, serving home-service contractors with websites and SEO. Since restarting TaskBlink, he has closed 20 active clients worth just over $5,000 per month in recurring revenue — roughly $75,000 in projected value at his average 15-month client lifetime — on a total TaskBlink investment of under $10,000 all-time. Watch the full interview:

The honest backstory: he canceled first

Jonathan signed up in August at around $20K/mo in agency revenue, closed a few clients, then canceled in December. His words: "I didn't have the focus to work TaskBlink as much as I needed to" — a vacation month and competing priorities, not the service. One client from that first stint is still with him today.

He came back in April for one reason: Facebook ads were costing him about $350 per booked call in a market full of price shoppers, and he wanted something "way lower cost per call but also scalable."

What changed the second time

The difference wasn't the system — it was how he worked it:

The numbers, side by side

Facebook adsTaskBlink
Cost per booked call~$350under $50
Clients closedinconsistent20 active
New recurring revenue$5,000+/mo
Projected value (15-mo avg lifetime)~$75,000
All-time investmentunder $10,000

On the ~$997 plan plus messaging costs, Jonathan spends about $2,000/mo total — and "we break even on the first month... after that, it's just new revenue." One honest trade-off he notes: his show rate on TaskBlink appointments (~40%) runs below what his ads produced (~60%), something he and the TaskBlink team are actively working on with offer adjustments.

Who this is NOT for, in Jonathan's words: "If you're hoping for people to give you their credit card and sign on without you talking to anyone — this is not for you." You have to be open to doing sales. TaskBlink books the conversations; you still close them.

His advice to agency owners who tried outbound and wrote it off

"If you decide to try this, give it your best, 'cause it's gonna work. It really is gonna work. Kyle and his team are awesome... If you put your effort in and we put our effort in — it's gonna work. 100%."
